What is it called when a person asks you a question...a quite personal one...?

and you say NICELY.."You know, I'd really rather not talk about that painful time"...But get this...that person will not leave it alone?? so you just keep REPEATING YOURSELF..."i'D RATHER NOT TALK ABOUT THIS"...but you are being nice...Is it badgering or harrment??? Which one???
