Can pet snakes live in an outdoor cage?

I want to build a big cage, outdoors to keep snakes in. I thought id put gl on the bottom so they couldnt burrow and escape? And put a kiddi pool in there with water so they could drink and cool off. Would this make them more "wild" and less tame?
